Construction Hours
The site working hours are as per Westminster’s Code of Construction Practice and the approved Construction Management Plan available within the Transport Statement:
8am to 6pm on Monday to Friday
8am to 1pm on Saturdays (if required)
No work on Sundays or public holidays
What are we doing?
In 2023, Westminster City Council granted planning permission and listed building consent for 7 Burlington Gardens to be refurbished and changed for use as a retail gallery and restaurant. To make this happen, 8build are taking over construction work to complete the fit-out of the building to deliver:
A ‘flagship’ retail gallery,
A champagne bar with potential for light dining and a new ‘banking hall’ restaurant,
An external roof terrace,
A replacement roof structure, and
A minor extension to the rear of 2 Old Burlington Street.
The heavy works have now been finished by Bovis, bringing the project closer to completion.

Project Updates
April 2026 Update:
We are delighted that our works on 7 Burlington Gardens are continuing to near completion. We have been busy throughout March completing various works and will be undertaking the following works throughout April.
We will be removing the remaining scaffolding and cabins situated on Burlington Street on weekends of:
- The 18th/19th April 2026,
- The 25th/26st April 2026.
- Please note that Savile Row and Burlington Gardens will be closed over these two weekends, whilst a crane removes the cabins.
It is likely that we will only need the 18th/19th April to complete these works, but the second weekend is booked incase of weather-related issues which could cause delay.
After the cabins have been removed, Westminster Council contractors will undertake works to the pavement, reinstating it to its previous condition.

March 2026 Update:
We are delighted to announce that our works on 7 Burlington Gardens are nearing completion! We will be undertaking the following works in the upcoming weeks with the aim of removing the scaffolding on Savile Row in mid April.
In order to facilitate the removal of the scaffolding, we first have to remove the wrap that encompasses and hides the scaffolding. This
will be taking place between 8am and 6pm on:
- The 13th/14th March 2026,
- The 20th/21st March 2026.
- Please note that Savile Row and Burlington Gardens will be closed over 2 weeks to accommodate these works.
Noise will be kept to a minimum but if you have any concerns please get in touch with Stephen on 07500 775104.

February 2026 Update:
We’ve got some more updates for you on the progress of 7 Burlington Gardens!
- All the scaffolding on Old Burlington Street is being removed. We’re aiming for this to be done by the end of February.
- We’ve now begun works on the 2nd floor roof terrace.
- At the end of February, we will have a small crane in the Savile row pit lane for around week.
January 2026 Update:
We’ve had a busy start to the New Year at 7 Burlington Gardens! You may have noticed that the façade wrap on Old Burlington has been removed and some initial terrace works have begun.
Over the next two weeks, we are undertaking the following works:
- We are striking the scaffolding on Old Burlington Gardens – this should take around 4 weeks to complete.
- We will begin UK Power Network works on January 26th. Burlington Gardens will be closed between Savile Row and Old Burlington Street from 26th January 2026 until 6thFebruary 2026 to accommodate these works.
- We are continuing terrace works and commencing the mechanical and electrical installations, as well as progressing internal works.
